I have been wanting to streamline my jewelry production for years and making jewelry in collections might be the way to do it. For my first attempt at a collection, I am making a variety of necklaces and earrings using photographs of Forget-Me-Nots. Why that flower you ask? Well, first, it's Alaska's state flower. Second, they are blue and blue jewelry is very popular. Third, people have been asking me for jewelry made with forget-me-nots for years. And lastly, because I finally made some good images of them in my garden. The flowers are so tiny, they have been hard to photograph.
To make this a collection and not just a new pair of photo earrings I have expanded the product line. In addition to the photo earrings (which will come in a lighter and a darker blue color), I have beaded necklaces like I have made in the past, plus a higher end version made entirely with sterling silver and higher grade semiprecious stones. Finally, I am introducing a new shape necklace. The pendants are long, narrow rectangles and I am putting them on longer chains that are 30 inches long.
I look forward to sharing my new creations with you, I will launch them September 1!
